A traumatized puppy rescued from a dogfighting ring is slowly learning to trust humans again.

Unfortunately, although there are regulations to prevent this, dogfighting is still a major issue in this country.

Owners of dogfighting operations keep dozens , and often even hundreds, of canines in appalling conditions. Dogs—usually pit bulls—are chained outside and never receive proper medical attention.

In the dog wrestling ring, they are forced to fight each other aggressively, with docile fangs they are viciously attacked and beaten. Most of the time, those fangs that are basically injured are left to perish after being judged unfit for combat.

Fortunately, the Humane Society of the United States and humane society International are working hard to save as many of these unfortunate puppies as possible while cooperating with law enforcement authorities to hold their owners accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

One of the canines saved from a terrible existence in dogfighting is Olivia. She participated in a dogfighting ring in South Carolina with 274 other canines.

She was in at least two fights before she recovered, as evidenced by her injuries, according to rescuers.

They were found by them terribly malnourished, chained to a tree outside, and without access to food or water.

She suffered severe physical and emotional damage, but the rescuers made it their goal to bring her back to health.

Olivia is relearning how to believe in others after experiencing love and compassion for the first time. Rescuers are optimistic that, despite her slow but steady recovery, she will soon return to full strength.

You should watch her phenomenal transformation, which has already begun! She will never realize from the way she is currently showing the terrible life that she left behind.
